Jennifer Michelson, M.D. is a Refractive Cataract & Lens Implant Surgeon and Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at Alabama Eye & Cataract Center, P.C., located at UAB Highlands in Birmingham, AL on the campus of the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) Medical Center. Dr. Michelson earned her Medical Degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and then completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center-University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

At Alabama Eye & Cataract Center, P.C., Dr. Jennifer Michelson sees adult patients for routine eye exams, evaluation and management of chronic and acute eye diseases, including cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Michelson performs cataract surgery with implantation of multifocal lens implants to allow patients to see over a range of near, computer arm’s length and distance vision without the need for glasses. Dr. Michelson also implants intraocular lenses to correct astigmatism and performs medical, laser, and surgical treatments for glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, age related macular degeneration (AMD), dry eyes and eye allergies.

Dr. Michelson is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO), is a Member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
